New to RUclips as well. Also, not to be OCD specific, but the race sponsor was actually 1998 Jasper Engines 200.

I believe this was the last race for Bobby Isaac in the K&K Dodge and the last race for Buddy Baker in the STP Dodge as he would replace Isaac.

Those lane go go booted girls look so much better than all the fat guys wearing cargo shorts of today. Had a 71 Imperial 2 door LaBaron with the 440. Very very nice. That car could cruise at triple digits with plenty to spare. Handling was not too bad as big as it was. Torsion bar front end & NO rack & pinion steering. Loved it. P.S. Stopping that rear bounce was easy with a set of gas charged coil over shocks. I put the same up front. What an improvement they made. Plus putting L70X15s all round.

Still haven’t figured out how the TNN news magazine show continued on as Inside NASCAR and then IWCR kept the old logo and theme music but moved over to Speedvision as a round table discussion program. First time I saw these shows pre-2000 I thought it was a dream or I was in some bizarro world.

I was at this race....Wayne Newton rode a horse drawn carrage waving to the crowd and I got Macho Man Randy Savages / Gorgeous Georges autographs from the wcw trailer 😁

Very interesting upload here! I'm delighted to learn about his show for the first time; I can't thank you enough for doing so much to preserve the history of motorsports television. TNN and Spike TV also aired a Car and Driver show called Car and Driver TV, but that one seemed to focus more on the automotive world at large rather than specifically motorsports. Do you happen to have any episodes of this show? Anyway, thank you for the uploads; and I look forward to seeing what else you uncover!

I was there for that race. It was my first time at a NASCAR race, I had a blast. I was in section H just off of turn 4.

Look at that crowd for qualifying! They would get bigger over the next few years! I bet the biggest qualifying crowd approached 75k in the early 2000s. Pocono race weekends from the mid 1990s through the mid 2000s were insane!
